I'm Alex Everhart: a shapeshifter with empathy powers, usually better at surviving Dallas than I am at keeping my powers in line. But when the ring starts feeding my abilities, I can't tell where my control ends and the danger begins. Now I have to get to Danny before the proposal falls apart, keep a predator from claiming the ring, and me. Because if I make the wrong choice, I won't just lose the ring.
